Sarajevo Hunting Association
A tradition since 1894 — one of the oldest hunting associations in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Sarajevo Hunting Association was founded in 1894 and is one of the oldest in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It has 430 regular, honorary and supporting members, as well as junior members, organized into four sections: Nahorevo, Hum, Trebević and Crepoljsko. The four sections are divided into 13 groups. The association conducts hunting activities across four city municipalities and in the areas of Paljevo, Ahatovići, Žuč, the Nahorevo hills, Bukovik, Borije and the slopes of Trebević.
The latest game-management plan for the Bukovik commercial and sporting hunting ground in Sarajevo was prepared in 2026 for the following ten-year period. It guides the association’s annual plans, field activities and compliance with current hunting regulations.
The association manages seven hunting lodges where hunters spend much of their time. The hunting ground also contains numerous feeding sites, watering places, low and high stands, and other facilities for breeding, protecting and feeding wildlife, as well as nearly all local game species.
